Mobil 1 5W-30 is an ILSAC GF-4 energy conserving viscosity that provides excellent all season protection. This product also meets the requirements for diesel-powered vehicles where an API CF or CD oil is recommended. Mobil 1 5W-30 is recommended for all types of modern vehicles, including high-performance turbo-charged, supercharged gasoline and multi-valve fuel injected engines found in passenger cars, SUVs, light vans and trucks. Mobil 1 5W-30 is a general purpose engine oil for all types of vehicles where a 5W-30 viscosity is recommended. Everyone knows synthetic oil is generally better performing than conventional oil except on your wallet. For those cost conscience folks, this one gallon 5-30 Mobil 1 is an excellent choice.PROs: Great one gallon jar which makes it easier than one quart size which you need to open four to five bottles; synthetic performance which outperforms conventional motor oil; 5-30 weight generally covers 90% of the market in the U.S; Extended motor oil life when compared with premium conventional motor oil means less frequent oil change is needed.CONs: Only 5-30W is available one 1 gallon size jar and if 10-40W or 0-20W is needed, need to purchase a quart size; when oil is changed at 3000 miles, it really does not benefit as much as conventional oil since price is higher; false sense of security of synthetic oil where some people really push the limit of motor oil when synthetic oil is used on their vehicleIf you are do it yourself type and looking for $30 oil change, buy this one gallon x4 pack and you can use it for 30k miles. I use up to 7 to 8k miles when using synthetic since it oxidizes much slower than conventional motor oil.

Royal Purple Motor Oil Combines premium base oils with proprietary additive technologies to create high performance motor oils that optimize engine performance and provide superior protection. No special procedures are necessary when upgrading to Royal Purple. Royal Purple motor oil is fully compatible with mineral or other synthetic oils. Royal Purple recommends waiting until the manufacturer’s first scheduled oil change in new gasoline engines before upgrading to Royal Purple. Royal Purple’s API licensed motor oil delivers superior protection and improves performance in gasoline and diesel engines. Royal Purple’s API SN licensed motor oil meets ILSAC GF-5 and Dexos1 1 performance requirements.
Used this oil in my Ford 7.3 with a slide in camper on the back. 5,000 miles driven. No loss of oil. Vehicle started and ran well. Toss up between Amsoil and Royal Purple. Make your own choice but Royal Purple does not make an oil filter for the 7.3. Extended drain intervals are good but you have to change your oil filter to extend. K&N were recommended by Royal Purple. Amsoil makes a filter so there is no inconvenience if you are traveling. All in all, it seemed to work well in my truck.

Red Line's 20W60 Heavy Duty Synthetic Oil is specifically blended for air-cooled V-Twin engines with traditionally wide clearances like Knuckleheads, Shovelheads, and Panheads engines and is also compatible with V-twins operated in hot climates. As part of Red Line's all-new Powersports line, these High Peformance Motorcycle Oils are fully-synthetic formulas specifically created for the high demands of the latest high-revving four-strokes motocross bikes and ATVs, Sportbikes, and V-Twins. Available in popular viscosities of 10W40, 20W50, and 20W60, these ester-based products contain the anti-wear chemistry demanded by mechanics and enthusiasts. The levels of zinc and phosphorus blended into these lubricants are among the highest in the industry and combine well with Red Line's chemistry, designed to seal piston rings for more power, fight fuel dilution, extend drain interval and provide stronger film strength over a range of temperature. This oil also features lower levels of friction…
I have been using Red Line 20W60HD in my 2004 Harley Davidson Softail since the first oil change - 23000 miles later I wouldn't use anything else - buy it buy the case (when its on sale) -- look around you can get good deals from time to time (100/case)

Red Line's 5W30 Synthetic Oil provides the quickest starts and fastest oil pressure rise. It reduces turbo lag and provides more power and best economy in an engine in good condition. Replacement for OE factory-fill oils in passenger cars and most light trucks, including most new GM cars and trucks. Thicker oil film at operating temperature than a petroleum 10W-40. It is the best choice for engines operated in extreme cold weather. Red Line's synthetic motor oils are designed to provide the highest protection, cleanliness and superior drain intervals with the lowest friction for your gasoline, diesel, motorcycle or marine engine. Red Line uses the most stable components available and formulates products for wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of engine operating conditions. Red Line's products are unique because they contain polyol ester base stocks, the only lubricants which can withstand the tremendous heat of modern jet engines. These synthetics have a natural…
I have owned two Subaru WRX's over the past five years and have used many different types of synthetic oils in them.I notice that Redline's oil seems to degrade and burn-off less than other oils...mainly Mobil1. I would recommend this oil to people who drive turbo cars aggressively. Not all synthetics are made to the same quality and it seems like Redline is one of the better brands. I also recommend their gear oil for transmissions and differentials.

I run this oil at an 8,000 mile change interval on my 1995 Toyota Supra Turbo. I send the oil out for testing at Blackstone Labs and change the filter (Purolator Pure One) every 4,000 miles. While RP is a bit on the expensive side, it's freely available and I can grab a quart in the store if needed unlike Amsoil or RedLine. I've got 189,000 miles and the wear levels on my motor are equivalent to a car with 50,000 miles on it.

If you buy the 5 gallon pail you get an awesome price, and it ships right to your door for FREE ! It doesn't get any better than that. With the price of gasoline now a days online shopping is getting more and more sensible. I live out in the hills (9,000 ft) and the closest auto supply (or any supply) store is 50+ miles one way. When Amazon will ship whatever right to my home it saves me a whole lot of time and money. And the best thing is I don't have to give my hard earned dollars to china mart. Yahoo!!

Red Line's 15W50 Synthetic Oil is the ultimate high-temperature protection in Red Line engine oils recommended for street use and is good for engines that regularly run very high oil temperatures. This oil is also best for engines that run large clearances such as air-cooled engines or large-displacement, all-out racing engines that see occasional street use. It provides 25% more viscosity in bearings than petroleum 20W-50s. 15W50 Synthetic Oil is not recommended for use in cold climates where temperatures are at or below 10°F or -12°C and is not recommended for street use in production engines that see oil temperatures below 225°F (those engines should use Red Line 10W-30 or 10W-40). Red Line uses the most stable components available and formulates products for wear protection and friction reduction across a wide range of engine operating conditions. The reduction in Zddp for most motor oils has proven disastrous to many older vehicles. While this was done to protect newer catalytic converters, it is very bad for camshafts.Redline is one of the few manufacturers which still maintains high levels of zddp. But they also use the very best baseline synthetic stock available.I use this in all my older cars up through the mid nineties. The cost of an engine rebuild is far higher than the few bucks extra for oil. However, for the late model daily drivers, I simply use Mobil 1.

Red Line is awesome. It increased my HP by 20. My MPG went up by 10. I got a raise at work. Went on a date with a model. Owe it all to Red Line. :)Ok, so not really. But it is the best oil around and worth the extra money.Do some research and ask around, I've never met anyone who tried it and didn't like it.Also it's a great company, if you call them with a question a real person answers the phone. No waiting on hold, and you'll talk to someone who actually knows something about oil, not just some guy who's job it is to answer the phone, that's pretty rare now days.

I've been running Redline synthetic oil in my 5.0 track toy for years now, and despite seeing coolant temps as high as 240 on one occasion and oil temps regulalry as high as 275, my Blackstone labs oil analyses keep coming back with wear on the low end of the normal range. You can run Redline with confidence.
